MEMBERSHIP
OF CHÂTEAUX EN BOURGEAIS
AT LA CAVE LOUIS VALLON

Recorded on July 9, the membership of La Cave Châteaux en Bourgeais (Gauriac, 33) to La Cave Louis Vallon is now formalized. Châteaux en Bourgeais thus entrusts the Bordeaux Families group with the supervision of its production and the marketing of its products.

Meeting on July 9, the administrators of La Cave Louis Vallon (126 winegrower families, 22 employees and 11.8 million euros in turnover in 2019) validated the membership of La Cave Châteaux en Bourgeais (24 member winegrowers, 3 employees and 60 hectares of vines). A strong act for La Cave Châteaux en Bourgeais, which wishes to develop its production and reach 150-180 hectares of vineyard, corresponding to the overall capacity of its winemaking tool. With a potential of over 8,000 hl of wines in the Côtes-de-Bourg and Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, La Cave Châteaux en Bourgeais is becoming a major new member for Bordeaux Families.

“We are proud to bring Châteaux en Bourgeais and its members THE development and organization solution they were looking for. This merger once again validates the mutualist and family values of Louis Vallon.” emphasizes Dominique Furlan, President of La Cave Louis Vallon.

“Thanks to this membership, we are integrating beautiful grapes and a new, very interesting terroir, we are expanding the range of our wines and we are meeting the diversification needs of our customers,” specifies Philippe Cazaux, General Manager of Bordeaux Families.

“We are proud to join La Cave Louis Vallon, which is one of the key players in wine in Bordeaux. This membership allows our cellar and our members to benefit from a new dynamic within a well-organized and efficient structure and will allow us to develop.” explains Patrick Bertin, President of La Cave Châteaux en Bourgeais.
